What is your warranty program?
All our machines carry a one year manufacturer's warranty. Our program is simple yet efficient: if you have a warranty claim, please take it to your nearest outdoor lawn mower repair shop. Hanxing will pay up to one hour for diagnosis and all parts and labor when covered under the warranty. The engine manufacturer will cover the engine - while Hanxing Machinery and Electron will cover all electrical components: more specifically the alternator, battery, controller, remote control and servos.
How hard is the pull start / How is the deck adjusted?
This mower generally takes 2-3 pulls to get it running. These machines have fairly high compression, much like a typical modern push mower. On the Gardener G-18, the mower deck adjustment lever is a small handle which is located near the throttle control. Our flagship model, the Gardener G-36 offer electric start and electric deck height adjuster.

What are the usual problems / Service intervals?
We have tested the G-18 mowers 350+ hours without a mechanical breakdown. We continue to improve the machines, in an attempt to make our mower the best on the market.
Recommended service procedures include:
-checking the oil level prior to each use,
-check battery level prior to each use,
-check cutting blades prior to each use,
-check rear tire pressure prior to each use,
-changing the oil twice per season,
-check spark plug twice per season,
-check the air filter prior to each use,
-check the mower blade(s) prior to each use,
-check tire pressure prior to each use
-start gasoline engine once per month during off season
-shut off gasoline after each use and during transportation
I wash my mower with a damp cloth and only hose the under body and wheels. We recommend using a biodegradable degrease on the cloth for stubborn dirt, grass and stains. Never mow in rainy, snowy and wet conditions.
Please keep in mind the mowers have a high degree of electrical components so care must be taken to ensure these areas never become wet.
These mower are really no different than a conventional lawn mower except the frame and decking are reinforced with extra thick steel, a small cradle for the battery and electrical "brain"- known as the controller, alternator, two servos (which act similar to a wheel chair motor) and that it about it!
And is it expensive to repair?
We carry an ample supply of parts and we hope to have each part itemized in the near future. Please expect to pay the going rate for typical replacement parts. If our North American distributor does not have the part in stock, they are shipped by air from our manufacturer in Shanghai- typically 3-5 business days. Expect to pay comparable prices that you typically do for servicing your mower. The electrical components do not require frequent maintenance however care must be taken to ensure the machines are never operated in wet conditions and that high pressure washers are not applied to the servos, computers, alternator and other electrical features.
How hard is it to push if the remote doesn't work or the engine fails.
Our machines utilize hybrid technology, meaning you can operate the mowers via battery mode without the gas motor and blades running. We often use the battery mode to shuttle the mower from the garage to my lawn. The battery mode is also great when the operator runs out of gas (we've all done this!), which enables the operator to shuttle back the machine to the refueling station. These mowers are extremely heavy duty however they are relatively mobile and my amputee friend can maneuver it with a metal hook and stick.
How long will the mower operate in the battery mode?
We have tested our mower for several hours in the battery mode however please keep in mind that once the gasoline engine start, the alternator automatically recharges the battery to full capacity. Also, the mower deck cutting blades will only function when the gasoline engine is in use.
If you have information would you mind mailing it to me?
We have an ample supply of reading literature, business cards and brochures.
The mow needs to be FCC, EPA, CARB, and ANSI certified for retail sales.
To the best of my knowledge - all our current engines are EPA approved.
like to see larger tires, many lawns are quite rough and larger wheels will roll over mole tunnels, ruts, erosion ditches etc.
We are capable on modifying each machine for custom orders in concern of the tire and rim selection.
would also consider on the pro model an engine that is consider professional quality. Briggs and Tecumseh are considered homeowner engines. Honda, Kawasaki , Kubota, Kohler and considered for professional equipment. Our goal in the future is to pair our G-36 model with a professional series engine in the near future. If a customer wishes to have a specific engine paired with our mower - it can be done.
I would also like to see a clutch and v-belt on the blade and the blade should have a swing blade option since hitting rocks or water shut offs can bend a crankshaft. remote control the operator may not be close enough to see hidden objects in the tall grass.
Great question, our original focus for the G-36 was for commercial lawn maintenance and slope mowing, especially where the areas of mowing were relatively certain as opposed to industrial / highway ditches that offer many unknown elements. In recent times, we have had numerous customer requests concerning mowing areas that are unknown or do have a variable surface terrine, where rocks and debris is prevalent. This is something that our research and development team is diligently working upon. Look for these attributes in the near future.
What is your production capacity?
As of this morning, we currently have several dozen G-18's and G-36's in our factory warehouse. Our production capacity is 100 units per month. We have the capabilities as well as connections to expand this output ten fold if warranted. Please keep in mind, with two in house engineers with over sixty years of professional experience; we have the resources to custom manufacturer many unique projects for the outdoor power enthusiast.
How long would it take to receive a mower if I ordered it today?
As soon as the partial payment is received, order time is generally 3-6 weeks. This truly depends where the mower is being shipped, North American customer should prepare for a 4-6 week turn around time, while Asian and European customers can receive their mower from 2-4 weeks.
On the web site I see several options listed electric start, bagger, and others. What is that pricing on the options?
We are still working with several companies for a bagger - no firm price as of this month.
The electric start feature is solely dependant upon the engine selection. In the past we have paired many different engines with electric start capabilities with the G-18 frame and drive train. Please keep in mind that all Gardener G-36 mowers have electric start capabilities. Generally we recommend to the customer a budget between $300-$500 for this upgrade in addition to the base price for the Gardener G-18.
Have you produced any written literature?
We have ample supplies of business cards and brochures for potential dealers, customers and all other stakeholders. Please let us know your mailing address and we would gladly forward them to your residence.
What are your thoughts on dealers and territories?
Our goal is to establish a dealership network throughout North America and a central concern is to never infringe on existing Hanxing retailers. We will continually monitor any feedback by current dealers in respect to future locations of dealers. If a conflict of interest arises, the established dealer in conjunction with a Hanxing representative will resolve any concerns.
